The last of 2005

Another year has gone again so fast.. . 2005 for me has been a fun year, though a bit slow at times.. many things have changed and most are for the better.. Work has been harder, yet it still is fun. Friends are still there, we occassionally meet up.. My family has been stronger, we are now more peaceful at home, with ate cathy's family now always visitng us.. My dad's relationship with me has been at its best, with now him knowing I have a BF, though occassionally he still gets mad at me.. And of course my lovelife is still great, with two years now and definitely still counting...

Yesterday was my worst visit to Enchanted Kingdom ever! My moron of a sister had 5 free entrance tickets as early as September and had only the mind to tell us recently when it was only days before they expire. Naturally, we do not want to waste the tickets so we planned on going, but unfortunately, with Caitlin and Chad coming along, we only had Dec. 30 as our best available date. I anticipated the amusement park to be really full because of the holidays and all, but men! upon reaching the Sta. Rosa tollgate, the traffic was already bad.. I said to myself, if all these people were heading for EK we are really in trouble. Turns out I was right.. I never saw a place so full!!Cars are parked in the streets til WalterMart, and traffic was really really bad.... Once inside, we found out that all we would do in the day was fall in line or our visit would be a waste.. Even buying food or going to the restroom means waiting in line, 30 mins minimum!! It was really so bad! We cant even find a place to sit on!!! My sisters got to ride only two rides and that meant 2 1/2 in line each!! (Of course we just fell in line for them for we could never be able to go home if we dont fall in line for the two rides at the same time.. Worse, when we got home at 2am, our parents were quite mad at for being my sisters home too late... Siiigh. . .

Ok enough about the whining on yesterday.. . So.. A New Year is coming already, and frankly I am excited about it.. I feel that there are good things to come for all of us with this new year (nag-ala-psychic e no!) Well to start off, Ian is leaving for Taiwan on Jan. 4. This is his first time out of the country and though im a bit sad about it, im also excited!! :) Sana maraming pasalubong!!

Well a new year for me is not the same without my never changing resolutions.. I never really can keep all of them but at least it's fun to see at the end of the year if I was able at least try to do something about them, just like what I'll be doing now...

Going back to 2005's resolutions:
> save more money! at least some big bucks by december next year!
well. i never really got to save... but. i can say im better with money now.. so, no big bucks this december.
>improve my job! undergo training dammit! (and survive it *cross-fingers*)
i did improve my job.. without needing to go to training :)
>lessen fights with ian....
hmmm.. i wouldve to ask him on this but he'll probably just say no.
>have a vacation with him :) :) :) (resolution ba to?!)
this i did! hahaha.. it was quite easy.
>renovate my room, and strive to keep it in order!!!
:( ive been wanting to do this for the looongest time.. sana next year n tlaga..
>lessen impulsive shoppings!!
yup, im better now :) i think a lot before buying anything though that does not meant i cut off shopping! (just the impulsive part)

so thats approximately 3/6.. not bad actually no? so.. on to my next year's resolution:

  • 130 lbs and maintain it! (I really have to put my heart in this, Ive been suffering from all the comments for so long now)
  • RENOVATE MY ROOM (There's no way I'm not doing this this year)
  • Minimize charging.. Meaning if you want it, save for it, and buy it on cash!
  • SAVE. I just learned this: Most of us believe in INCOME-EXPENSES =SAVINGS when it really is INCOME-SAVINGS=EXPENSES . Hopefully..

Ok, so thats all of it already.. 4 items but really, I think they're difficult... Well lets just see about that next year ok?

HAPPY 2006 Everyone!!!!

2 more days!!

Im really getting all hyped up with Christmas sooo near.. Actually, it's already Christmas for me though it isnt the 25th yet... Ive already finished my shopping for all my inaanak's yesterday. Even Ian would get to receive all my gifts for him later (I wouldnt be here Christmas day kasi). I have been giving him his presents since the 17th and later would be his fifth, final gift.. yey! :)

My fourth gift though was a little underappreciated.. I gave him a portable FM Radio (haha). Cheap as it may sound, but he's been whining for this for as long as I can remember.. Kasi daw he needs something to listen to when the IPod is with me.. With all the MP3 players around, it's impossible to find a decent FM Radio now.. Pagtatawanan ka pa sa mga tatanungan mong stores.. OR it's free in happy meals or strepsils and other things.. E si boyfriend maarte, di pde ang quality ng mga finifree..

Luckily, after all the thinking on where I could buy a decent FM Radio, I found one at Ebay...So I bought it, had it shipped and voila, I was able to hand it to him the next day (very smooth transaction actually).. BUT.. as i mentioned earlier, excited as i was to hand him the present i so tediously planned, it was forgotten a few hours after...

You know why? Parang sinaniban ang BF ko! There we were one minute strolling at Galleria when he saw a mobile phone and decided right there and there taht he wants to buy it! (Kasi me FM na, pwede pa makapag Hunter) Sabi ko: Are you sure? (Hello wala kemng pera! Of course we have the card but.. you know.. utang n nmn) It was so uncharacteristic of him, to be that jumpy on a major purchase.. Usually, i was the one who have to be controlled in these impulsive purchases, while he prefers to sit around thinking for days looking at reviews or researching about the thing he is lusting for..

So we flew to MegaMall (kasi me mas options dun) and searched for the chepeast price for the model he wanted.. When we finally decided to hand out the card to buy the phone.... ENG!!!!.. declined.. so.. we left the store (with him whining in the background: Hawak ko na e....... Hawak ko na...), and called Citibank to ask what the hell happened.. Turns out that when you buy a thing on installment, its whole price is substracted to your credit limit and by paying for it monthly, you slowly gain your limit back.. (another thing learned for the day!) In short, we can not buy the phone.....

Well, the old Ian would've just let the issue go, go home, sleep on it, then maybe ask his mom to buy the phone on another day.. But NO! This is the new and spontaneous Ian (much like me actually) so he refused to call it a day, made a phone call to his mom that she makes tito go to Megamall, bring him a credit card (with a much higher limit of course), and buy him the celphone before the day ends..

To cut the long story short, at the end of the very tiring day, he got the phone he's been dreaming of in a span of one day, and I got arthritis for too much walking, exhausted and very very very envious... (well it has FM and can play Hunter!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! :)

Eyeshadows and Cornifradia

Christmas time again!!!

Parties are almost over. I got to attend to my company's Christmas party at Crowne Plaza last December 10 with my mom and Thea. It was nice to see everyone so dressed up when you normally just see them wearing everyday jeans.. I just wore my good ol dress (luckily it still fits) and had my hair and make-up done.. my eyeshadow was a bit exaggerated when I saw it in the pics, too bad i didnt see it during that time, baka pinagtatawanan na nila ko :( hyaan mo na.. but hey, i still feel pretty :)

December 17, 2005 was the most enjoyable night I had in yeeears.. First, during the morning we (my K! family) had our Outreach in one of the Home for the Aged at Bulacan. Nothing extravagant we just baught them food and two sacks of rice.... It was a good feeling to be able to reach out to people who need help and share with them anything that you can.. This is one event worth making a yearly tradition....

In the evening, we continued the celebration at Thea's house. Imagine this is the first time in years that we were almost complete! (we were 22 all in all plus James and Mike) Only Rayniel and Ujin were not able to attend the party. Nagbunga din ang pangungulit nmen.. It was a fun-filled night of pictures, great-tasting food, pictures, videoke, pictures, almost-unopened-bottles-of-wine, charades, pictures, kwentuhan's, and mooore pictures.. It was so fun!

Bein with my friends again reminded me how fun it is way back when we were at school.. I go to Mapua everyday not to study (well, partly) but because I want to see them. We are truly one exceptional group.. We make the best out of the worst situations and I admit I would certainly be not here having a job if not with these guys.... Basta.. to say that we were there for each other through thick and thin is an underestimation.. I am reminded of how blessed I am to have such great great friends I can call to in my time of dire needs.. Basta.. I love you sooo much guys!

Ok enough of the drama.. Just one last quick question, who the hell starred in Cornifradia??
